The European Commission has launched a call for applications, inviting top scientists researching AI or using AI in their research to join the newly formed RAISE High-Level Academic Advisory Board. The board will play a key role in steering the future of AI-powered science and fundamental AI research across Europe.

The call is open until 4 September 2026.

Launched in November 2025, RAISE - the Resource for AI Science in Europe is a virtual institute pooling top talent and resources to drive excellence in AI science, spanning both AI in science and the science of AI. It is currently in its pilot phase and is funded under the Horizon Europe programme.
